Design and Illustration intern applicants should also have a background in graphic design with skills in Adobe CS, specifically and preferably Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Photoshop.

As a strategist for the Congressional Leadership Fund, Calvin’s ads played a central role in recapturing the House Majority in 2022 and is a frequent quote in the New York Times, POLITICO, Wall Street Journal and more.

Colton is a 2022 VCUarts graduate with a BA in Cinema and BS in Mass Communications. During his time in school, he was a founding member and Production Head of two different student film organizations. After graduating, Colton interned at a local ABC news station, contracted with a local PBS affiliate, and freelanced on the Apple TV+ show Swagger, a few small indie films, and a variety of commercials. One of these commercials happened to be with an advertising company called POOLHOUSE, and the rest is history.

When he has time on weeknights and weekends, Colton still works in live sports broadcasting. You can also find him watching movies and working with friends on their next big film project.

Catalina Gutierrez

She thrives in high-pressure situations and is always looking for ways to push the boundaries and innovate in her work.

Conor Brophy

aka BROPHY, Conor is a New York-born and Georgia-grown production pro. Conor has worked on all sides of the camera and is a SCAD Atlanta master of fine arts in film and television. He has directed and produced award winning short films and was the executive producer and showrunner of SCAD’s first-ever narrative web series. Conor recently worked in freelance production with MGM Studios, A24, Marvel Studios, Fox Alternative Media and Amazon Studios. Conor is absolutely thrilled to be collaborating with the POOLHOUSE team doing what he loves – producing bold content with great people. In production, he echoes the Avengers. “Whatever it takes.”

When he is not on set, Conor enjoys the adventures and chill days with his family – wife, daughter, and golden retriever Frosty Paws. You might also catch him on the golf course with a birdie opportunity that unfortunately results in a three-putt bogey. Fore!

Danny Laub

David Johnston

A seasoned campaign operative and strategist who has worked on campaigns at all levels, Dave most recently served as a Regional Political Director at the National Republican Congressional Committee for two cycles where he played a pivotal role in taking back the Republican majority of the US House of Representatives in 2022.

At POOLHOUSE, as Vice President of Political, Dave serves as media strategist for campaigns, candidates, and causes to combine a client’s story, the best creative, and an effective data-driven strategy to win.

Dave is a native of Idaho and Marine Corps veteran. When he isn’t working, he can be found exploring historical sites with his two kids, flying an airplane, or shooting sporting clays.

Ellie Sorensen

At POOLHOUSE, he takes on the role of design director, but at home, he’s a devoted family man and a self-proclaimed “trash guy.” During those rare moments of free time, you’ll likely discover him engrossed in drawing on his iPad, savoring the art of grilling, or wielding a trusty leaf blower.

On weekends, you might find Kacey hiking or camping with her husband and their dog. On weeknights, you can definitely find her on the couch watching her favorite sitcoms on a heavy rotation.
